My company was started in 1947 in Basingstoke, Hampshire, by my father Alfred E.Bearne, taking at the time portraits and weddings. He was self-taught, after working for an engineering company, and had an accident with a machine, which gave him time while recovering to learn the basics of photography. I started with my father when I left school in 1970, and took the business over on my father's death in 1975.

Today, the company takes on wedding's in churches, Registry offices and now hotels & country houses. I cover weddings in Hants, Dorset, Surrey, Berkshire and Wiltshire.
